Judy is the founder and president of J. Ganes Consulting, LLC – the leading, independent commodities research and consulting services company – is a world-renowned soft commodities and futures analyst with over 30 years experience in the food and agricultural industries. Judy is well-known for her unique ability to not only gather, synthesize and interpret data in both an historical and present-day context, but also for the way she clearly and concisely articulates her findings and insightful opinions.

Prior to starting J. Ganes Consulting in 2001, Ms. Ganes was Director of News and Research at InterCommerical Markets, but spent most of her career working for the major brokerage houses Merrill Lynch and Shearson Lehman as Senior Softs Analysts for their many institutional and retail clients.

In addition to writing her Exclusive Market Reports and providing Advisory Services to numerous corporations, organizations and investment groups, Judy regularly contributes articles to industry publications such as Coffee and Cocoa International and produces commissioned studies including an analysis of the Ethiopian Coffee Sector that was funded by ACDIvoca and the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, and authors major independent studies such as the Global Instant Coffee Market, that takes a fresh look at this “hot and hip” beverage category.

Ms. Ganes also speaks to standing room-only crowds at global industry conferences, conducts educational seminars on futures and options, and has been interviewed and quoted countless times in the major print, online and broadcast media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, MSNBC, Barron’s,

Andrés is the founder and president of Café Trading Advisors, of Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, and is a licensed Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) specialized in Coffee and other “Soft Commodities” markets that are traded on international Futures exchanges of these derivatives.

Andrés has 13 years of experience as a trader and investor in financial markets on commodities, currencies, stocks and fixed income, with a focus on the development and execution of strategies in futures and options on coffee and currencies, based on technical and quantitative analysis, modeling, and supported by a complete fundamental analysis of the market.

He graduated in International Business with emphasis in Finance from University EAFIT, Medellín, Colombia. Andrés holds a SERIES 3 license (National Commodities Futures Examination) by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is a Associated Member Approved of the National Futures Association (NFA) of the United
States. The self-regulatory organization applicable to the futures industry in the United States.

Andrés has extensive experience advising physical players such as coffee cooperatives, producers and exporters, among others. He has an extensive network of contacts in the physical coffee industry in Colombia, Brazil, India, Uganda, Nicaragua and Guatemala, as well as in international platforms and organizations focused on the sustainable development of coffee and the environment.

He is also the author of numerous articles on investments in financial markets, as well as an exhibitor and coordinator of several seminars on investments in commodities and currencies, some of them taught at the EAFIT University and online.

Prior to founding Seguridad Financiera SAS (Café Trading Advisors) in 2012, he was Director of Strategies and Operations for Global MI Corp, and worked in Inversiones, Títulos y Valores SA, providing financial markets consulting services to its numerous institutional and individual clients. Andrés also served as a technical and fundamental analyst of currencies, local stocks and bonds (TES) listed on the Colombian Stock Exchange.

He was the presenter of the “Investments and Finance” section of the television program “La Mañana”, from 2006 to 2009, and has been a speaker at events in the managed futures industry such as CTA Expo (Chicago, IL, USA) and Emerging Manager Forum (Miami, FL, USA), among others.
